1. USE WORKSPACE OR PHOTOJUNCTION (THE LATEST VERSION!)
Our albums are custom-made. We can't start work until we have everything we need to make them (full album specification, page layouts, cover file, personal text, copy album orders etc).
You could go crazy trying to remember all this … or use Workspace or Photojunction, they keep track of everything for you.
If you need help, ask our support team.
2. IF YOU'RE USING PHOTOJUNCTION, HANDLE THE FILE EXPORTS AND UPLOAD BUNDLES WITH CARE
Don't rename, resize or move the exported page layouts (hint: it's safest to edit them from within Photojunction).
Don't touch the order upload bundle Photojunction creates. It has everything we need to make your album and nothing we don't.
3. CHECK YOUR LAYOUTS CAREFULLY BEFORE UPLOADING
Albums are sometimes held up by image problems that could have been fixed before the order was sent. Before you send your order please check over your images and printing files carefully... and follow up on those warnings in the PJ Problem Reporter ... and make any corrections.
4. FINALISE YOUR ORDER BEFORE YOU SEND IT
In other words don't make changes. Not only does this increase the chance of something going wrong, it slows things down and incurs extra charges.
On the other hand if if you do need to resend an amended album, let us know or we could think it's a new order.
By the way if your order is a sample album and you're asking for discount, please make a note under Comments in your order. And if you have a specific deadline, like a show or competition, do tell us.
5. ALLOW ENOUGH TIME
Yes, this is about getting your album faster, but don't do things last minute. The production clock doesn't start ticking until your order is finalised and any problems resolved, but even then, please allow plenty of time to get your album back.
We like to under-promise and over-deliver on our delivery times, but don't assume we always can!
